As a Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring safe, evidence‑based perioperative care while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary Theatre team.
- Job Title: Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout
- Location: Auchenflower, Brisbane QLD
- Facility: Large Private Not‑for‑Profit Surgical Facility
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high‑quality perioperative care across a variety of procedures
- Apply best clinical practice to support optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with your multidisciplinary Theatre team to deliver person‑centred care
- Maintain clinical accuracy, safety, and infection control standards
- Promote effective teamwork, communication, and respect within the Theatre environment
- Support organisational goals and uphold ethical, professional standards
Key Skills / Qualifications Required
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 12 months’ Scrub Scout experience
- Experience in Orthopaedic and/or Neurological theatres is desirable
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical reasoning skills
- Ability to work across a rotating roster (Mon–Fri, 6 am–9 pm, occasional weekends)
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Willingness to meet vaccination and compliance requirements
- Australian working rights
Salary & Bonus Benefits
- $42.50 – $54.62 per hour (experience‑based)
